Day 2: Wine Country or Coastal Charm: The Choice is Yours
After a leisurely breakfast, set out on a curated day of discovery tailored to your interests. Wine lovers may opt for a full-day vineyard tour, choosing between two of Chile’s most celebrated estates: the historic Concha y Toro in the Maipo Valley and the elegant Cousiño Macul, both offering tastings of world-class reds in picturesque surroundings. Alternatively, venture farther afield along the Colchagua Wine Route, where boutique wineries and lush vineyards offer an unforgettable experience for oenophiles.
For a blend of culture and coastal beauty, choose a scenic drive to the Pacific to explore Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage city famous for its colorful hillside homes and vibrant street art. Pair it with time in the elegant seaside town of Viña del Mar, known for its gardens and beaches—plus optional stops at nearby coastal wineries.
Whether you're sipping Carmenère in the countryside or strolling the bohemian streets of Valpo, the day is yours to savor.

Day 3: Journey to the Andes
Your ski adventure begins this morning with a scenic 2-hour private transfer from Santiago into the heart of the Chilean Andes. As you ascend the dramatic mountain roads, watch as the city fades and the peaks rise around you, offering spectacular views of snow-draped ridgelines and the high-altitude wilderness of the Southern Hemisphere.
Upon arrival at Ski Portillo, Chile’s most iconic ski resort, check into the welcoming Hotel Portillo—a vibrant alpine lodge perched above the shimmering Laguna del Inca. Settle into your room and soak in the friendly, all-inclusive atmosphere that makes Portillo a favorite for both seasoned skiers and first-time visitors.
Portillo is not only a paradise for powder lovers—it’s also exceptionally family-friendly. The resort features a well-regarded ski and snowboard school, with lessons and programs for kids of all ages, as well as a dedicated children’s activity center and daily organized games. Whether your group includes toddlers, teens, or multigenerational travelers, everyone can feel at home. In the evening, gather with your fellow guests for a warm welcome dinner in the dining room, where floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of Laguna del Inca and the towering peaks that surround it. Raise a glass to the days of adventure ahead—your mountain escape has just begun.

Day 4: First Tracks and Andean Powder
Wake up to crisp mountain air and a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes for your first full day of skiing. With 35 runs across 1,200+ acres, Portillo offers terrain for every level—from gentle beginner trails like Las Lomas to steeps like Roca Jack, Garganta, and Chorrillo, accessed by the resort’s unique Va et Vient lifts. Advanced skiers can venture into off-piste zones or, weather permitting, hike to the legendary Super C Couloir or opt for heli-skiing.
Whether you're fine-tuning skills or just starting out, Portillo’s ski school offers lessons for all ages and abilities. After a thrilling day, unwind in the outdoor heated pool or hot tub overlooking Laguna del Inca, then enjoy a sociable Chilean dinner with fellow guests at Hotel Portillo.

Day 5: Guided Adventures, Skill Building and Alpine Relaxation
Today, elevate your skiing with a guided session or private lesson from Portillo’s expert instructors—perfect for refining technique or exploring new terrain. Advanced skiers can join a mountain guide for off-piste adventures in legendary zones like Primavera, La Chimenea, and Olimpico, or opt for heli-skiing if conditions allow.
Prefer a slower pace? Unwind with a spa treatment, relax by the fire, or take in the alpine scenery from the outdoor terrace. Non-skiers can enjoy scenic walks, yoga, or peaceful moments by Laguna del Inca.
As the sun sets, gather at the Portillo bar for après-ski cocktails and fireside stories shared with fellow guests—often accompanied by live music and mountain views.

Day 6: One Last Ride of Powder, Peaks and Farewell to Portillo
Make the most of your final full day in the Andes, whether that means chasing fresh powder in your favorite off-piste zone, carving down the El Plateau, or taking one last exhilarating ride on Portillo’s iconic Va et Vient lifts to ski steeps like Roca Jack or Garganta. This is the day to revisit your favorite runs, squeeze in a few laps before lunch, or finally check off that trail you've been eyeing all week. For those still hungry for adventure, consider one more guided backcountry session or even a short heli-ski drop (conditions permitting). Prefer a slower pace? Enjoy a late morning hot tub soak with a view, or lounge fireside in the grand salon with a book or glass of Chilean wine. In the afternoon, gather for one last round of après-ski at the Portillo Bar, then change into something cozy and festive for a farewell dinner. The hotel’s chef prepares a special menu highlighting regional Chilean flavors, paired with local wines and warm conversation. Toast your unforgettable days in the mountains as the sun sets in brilliant color behind the jagged Andean peaks.

Soak in the city’s energy one last time—perhaps with a stroll through Parque Bicentenario or a relaxed café visit in Providencia.
