About Activity
On this 4-hour cooking class, you will discover the mysteries of Brazilian cuisine. Classes feature ingredients readily available in the United States and Europe so travellers can recreate the recipes they learned at home. You will know how the Indigenous, Black, and Portuguese people influenced Brazilian cuisine and learn to cook one of our typical dishes. The menu options available for participants are the following:
A) Feijoada: a stew with meat and black beans, accompanied by rice, orange, farofa, and greens.
B) Moqueca (Bahian): a traditional Brazilian seafood stew with fish and shrimp, prepared with coconut milk, rice, and farofa.
